Exploring reproductive rights and bodily autonomy, the exhibition opened September 12, 2024, at PennWest California’s Manderino Library.


Professor Emerita Susanne Slavick is part of “The Art of Democracy: Whose Choice?,” an exhibition addressing reproductive rights in a post-Roe v. Wade world. Curated by Michaela Blanc and presented in collaboration with Keystone Progress, the exhibition brings together artists whose work emphasizes the urgent need for personal choice and bodily autonomy. The show, which opened September 12, 2024, at PennWest California’s Manderino Library, runs until October 13, sparking critical conversations around healthcare and government control.

The exhibition is part of The Art of Democracy series, which highlights key issues leading up to the 2024 presidential election, focusing on reproductive freedom and social justice.
